Limited Edition - Tower and Stockade

Limited Edition | The period of the Great Arab Revolt (1936-1939), is considered one of the most difficult and decisive periods in the history of the Jewish Yishuv, prior to the establishment of the State of Israel. 
In response to the wave of violence directed against the Jewish community, and in order to establish facts on the ground before the conclusions of the Peel Commission, the leadership of the Yishuv initiated a series of operations and a settlement method known as "Homa ve Migdal" (Tower and Stockade). The move was intended to strengthen Jewish settlement in strategic areas, expand the territory under Jewish control, and serve as a military response to riots, even without the consent of the British Mandatory government.
The method was innovative and bold. It involved the rapid establishment of small, fortified settlements, surrounded by a wall and centered around a watchtower. The settlements were often established overnight, with maximum secrecy to prevent Arab opposition. The settlement operations were led by the Haganah organization, but were also participated in by movements from all streams of settlement and from all parts of the country. Beyond its strategic importance, the "Tower and Stockade" plan became a symbol of determination and national unity, which laid the foundation for the state to come.
This edition includes three units made of solid walnut wood - a watchtower, a defensive wall, and a hut - as a tribute to the unique settlement method, and to the 52 settlements that were established overnight during the 1936-1939 period under British Mandate rule.
